hey i don't know about game engines i just looked at this cuz on the simpsons you could hook up mics and talk and it looked hecka sick sooo....i think like java or w/e the heck that is i don't know but sounds sick i don't really know about that stuff.......well....why should you have to pay i mean the work and stuff but r3eally you could make it like runescape and l.ike pay for extra benefits like ya know armor weapons stuff like that and ya know....how bart had the castle and marge gave it an expansion you could get better expansions for members and better castles and buildings and if you become a member you get 1000 free gold and stuff u know....well...can'te w8 till' the game!!!!:D
shockwave has a mean graphics engine if you're going for a sort of world of warcrafty look. Only problem is it doesnt really have that much in the way of expansive enviroments. A good example of a shockwave based MMO is Sherwood Dungeon http://www.maidmarian.com/sherwood.htm
well we are going to do that with a real 3D engine- so you will have to download a client and astuff ,a lthough there will be no installer..... You can run the game of a reasonably big USB stick (512 mb minimum) . It is goignt o use OGRE3d in it'S newest release
if you want a game to go big and people to actually play itscape or WoW. people play those type of things and prefer them not just click on this spend money on this click on this option then that. this could be the new runscape. i hope its not too much for you guys
